ADJOURNMENT TILL TUESDAY. [nv TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Replying to Mr. W. T. Jennings (Taumarunui), Mr. Massey said the question of granting an amnesty to all political prisoners was under consideration-by the Cabinet. The Crime Minister moved a motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr. A. H. Hindmarsh, formerly member for Wellington South, who died this morning. This was supported by Sir Joseph Ward and several members, all of whom stressed the intense honesty and patriotism of the deceased member. A similar motion was passed in connection with the death of the late Mr. Andrew Rutherford, a former member for Cheviot. • Mr. Massey moved that the House rise till 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday next, as a mark of respect for the memory of the deceased members. The House rose at 4.15 p.m. till 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. THE NEW SPEAKER. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ATSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. Tha Legislative Council met at 2.30 p.m. Reference was made to the death of the hte Mr. A. H. Hind marsh. Sir Francis Bell said the new Speaker would be presented to the GovernorGeneral to-morrow. Tho Council adjourned till 11.30 a.m. to-morrow.
