SEVERAL OFFENDERS FINED.
Several persons charged with breaches of by-laws came before Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at the Police Court yesterday. Daniel Cooper was fined ss, with lis costs, for using a motor-car by night in a public place without having the number mark illuminated by a rear light. Jessie H. Bull and Clyde Blcrmfield were each fined 5s and costs for leaving their motor-cars unattended in Queen Street for more than 15 minutes. A fine of £1, with costs 13s, was imposed on Emil Thomson for driving a motor-car in Khyber Pas» Road 'it a speed dangerous to the public. Henrietta L. A. Cruller, for cutting a oorner with a motor-cycle was fined ss, with costß 15s, and she was convicted and discharged for failing to keep the machine under proper control. Ernest R. Boucher, for driving a motorcar with insufficient lights, was fined 5s and costs 9s, and Morton Cossar was convicted and ordered to pay 15» costs for i negligently driving a motor-car in Queen I Street. | Albert Dumper, the holder of a license 1 from the Devonport Borough Council to ; ply a waggonette for hire, was ordered to | pay Court costs, lis, on a charge of overcharging. A youth Tracc-y Burgess, was fined ss. and costs for riding a bicycle on the footpath.
