AUCKLAND INSTITUTE.
The second and concluding part of Professor P. P. Worley's lecture on "Combustion " will be delivered at the meeting of the Auckland Institute to be held in St. Andrew's' Hall on Monday evening. In the first part Professor Worley gave an account of trie early ideas as to the nature of combustion up to the time of the discovery of oxygen by. Priestly. On Monday he will describe the advance that has been made since that period, and the views that are now held. The lecture will be illustrated with experiments, and will be open to the public. ,
