BRITISH GAINS ENLARGED AT LAKE TIBERIAS.
SOUTHERN AND WESTERN SHORES OCCUPIED. CAVALRY DRIVING TURKS INTO ARMS OF ARABS. Beuter. (Received 11.55 cm) LONDON, Sept. 26. A Palestine official statement says: The southern and western ghores of Lake Tiberias are generally in our hands. The Turkish garrisons offered stiff resistance, but were overcome. Our cavalry has occupied Amman, and is now driving the enemy up the Hedjaz railway into the arms of Arabs at Dera'a. Some of the enemy may jescape to Damascus, others going south to the Dead Sea, with the object of extricating the garrison, which the Arabs are pressing hard.
