AUCKLAND FRENCH CLUB.
•A. LEA? -t'T soiree was held by the French Club last evening, iii its rooms in Customs Street. An address wa<- given by Mr. W. H. Hemingway,, organiser of the French Bed Cross Day, in connection wit!*-the New Zealand tribute to Franco. Mr. Homingway said that a "Kermesse Francaise" would be held in the Town Hall on September 4. Tho French Club has decided to supervise two stalls. One a Tahitienne stall, will be under the supervision of Madame Du Temple, of Papeete, who is on a visit to Auckland. During the evening, interesting French grammar and ' pronunciation exerci&M wore given on a phonograph.
