PRESENTATION.
A PBESE.VTATTO.V of a gold watch, suitably inscribed, was made on Saturday evening to Mr. Charles Hudson, chairman of the committee of the Auckland Choral Society, on the occasion of a social gathering to mark the opening of the society's new to 'J in Alexandra Street.. Mr. C. B. Plummer said the members wished to ex*' press the esteem in which they held Mr. Hudson, and to mark their appreciation of his conscientious and able labours on behalf of the society for many years. It was through .Mr. Brett's' generosity and Mr. Hudson's efforts that the society wai now in possession of a new hall." Mr. Hudson suitably replied.
