A PBESE.VTATTO.V of a gold watch, suitably inscribed, was made on Saturday evening to Mr. Charles Hudson, chairman of the committee of the Auckland Choral Society, on the occasion of a social gathering to mark the opening of the society's new to 'J in Alexandra Street.. Mr. C. B. Plummer said the members wished to ex*' press the esteem in which they held Mr. Hudson, and to mark their appreciation of his conscientious and able labours on behalf of the society for many years.
