SEVERE AIR FIGHTING.

HEAVY TOLL OF ENEMY.

BRITISH DESTROY SIXTY-ONE.

Sir Douglas Haig reports :—ln air fighting on Friday, we destroyed 39 German aeroplanes, and drove down 22 out of control. Twenty-three of ours are missing. We dropped 38$ tons of bombs during the day-time, and 18$ tons at night-time. A French communique states :— spite of bad weather our squadrons fought numerous actions, bringing down 14 German areoplanes. Forty tons of projectiles were dropped by day and night on enemy troops and camps.
