GREAT PREPONDERANCE OF ENEMY LOSS IN KILLED.
OVERWHELMING TOWER OF ALLIED ARTILLERY SHOWN.
ENORMOUS MASSES OF SCATTERED MATERIAL FOUND.
(Etcehed 6.5 p.m.)
LONDON, Aug. 10.
Mr. H. Perry Robinson states: The relatively great number of German dead is the most striking feature of the torn battlefield of the Santerre Plateau. It is beyond anything I have ever seen. The enemy losses in one fight were ten times greater than ours. The completeness of the enemy's rout, and the overwhelming power of our artillery, is everywhere in evidence. Enormous masses of scattered material and arras have been found, including whole deserted batteries amid piles of untouched ammunition.
