RESCUE WORK ON WARILDA.
JAMMING OF WARD DOOR, A. and N.Z- LONDON, Aug. 7. A survivor from tho Warilda, interviewed, said that the explosion wrecked and jammed the iron watertight door of one of the wards. That accounted for the chief loss of life, because the' rescuers could not get at the wounded there. The lowering of the boats was difficult, and soveral capsized, throwing the wounded into the water.
