JEWEL THEFT SENSATION.
ARREST MADE BY POLICE.
Australian and N.Z- Cable Association. (Reed. 10.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 22. After another desperate encounter the police arrested Walter Grant, who has several aliases, and who is an escaped Victorian criminal, in connection with the shooting of a detective. The authorities have recovered practically all the jewellery stolen from Mr. Ropebery's motor car.
