STATES FAIL TO AGREE.
MELBOURNE. July 22. The conference of Commonwealth State representatives in connection with the transference of industrial powers to the Commonwealth failed to come to an agreement. Tho conference has concluded.
NEW SOUTH WALES LAMBING. SYDNEY; July 22. Official statistics of autumn and winter lambing in New Solith Wales show that 12,310,000 ewes produced 9,719,000 lambs, of which 7,720,000 survived for marking. Drought conditions and want of suitable feed seriously reduced ( the percentages in some districts.
