SERVICE BY JUGOSLAVS.
Sir,—So the only enemy aliens in New Zealand are the Jugoslavs*. As we are at | war with Austria and Germany, this is very strange indeed. Instead of adopting the Jugoslavs as allied people, as Franco, Italy, America and Great Britain did, thus encouraging our brothers in Austria in their revolts, the Government of New Zealand is doing the contrary. Could not naturalised Jugoslavs be coiwcipted as iNow Zealanders. and those not naturalised, who are willing, at once be sent to join the Servian Army, so that the Jugoslavs would bo doing some good ? At the same time our national status would not be lowered, or at least it would be known in Austria that our rights to join with Seryia are recognised by the allies and their respective colonies, but as it is now we are classed in New Zealand as enemy aliens. We Jugoslavs do not complain about the money; in fact, we never look tor it. We prefer to work for recogmtion of our national aspirations. Wo love liberty and justice, therefore we wish to he treated accordingly. B M
