BRAVE ITALIAN WOMEN.
LONDON, Juno 22. Mb. Jeffries, tho correspondent of tho Times in Italy, states that tho civilian populaticn, which is not large, has not evacuated tho territory behind the Italian lines, and their behaviour has inspired the soldiers. Women in the shell-stricken villages refuse to leave. They busy themselves preparing food and drink for the soldiers, and pursue their household duties in gas infected districts where- soldiers are compelled to wear gas-masks.
