WOOL. A distribution of wool to the civilian trade attracted few buyers. Of 12.150 bales cataI logued 2200 were sold at fixed prices higher than those of January. The chief competition was for good free scoured and greasy hew Zealand lambs. BUTTER. Butter is plentiful, and lard very scarce. CEREALS. Wheal is quiet. Flour is steady. A small quantity of overseas has been released. Oats are quiet. Beans are firm, and colonial are not offering. Peas are advancing. New Zealand and Tasmanian white brought from 66s to 60s per cwt on spot. METALS. Tin: Stocks. 19,733 tons; on spot. 192© *°ns; afloat, 5575 tons; deliveries, 1022 tons. Other metals are unchanged.
