PRESBYTERIAN MISSION.
A special evangelical mission was commenced in St. Stephen's Church, Ponsonby, yesterday, by Mr. John Bissett, assembly evangelist for the Presbyterian Church. In the afternoon a young people's service was held. The attendance was large, and the missioner delivered a helpful address. There was a large congregation at the evening service. A large choir led the singing, and Alexander's hymns were used. Mr. Arthur Hall sang two solos. Mr. Bissett's address was on the text : " What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul?" A prayer meeting was held at the close of the service.
