THE STRANDED WHALES.
STILL ON DARGAVILLE BEACH. [BY TBIEGBAPH.—OWN CORBESPOXDENT.] DARGAVILLE, Thursday. The statement that the 25 whales recently stranded at Bayly'3 Reserve had been washed away to sea is erroneous. None of the mammals were lost. The tide merely disturbed their close location. The hieh tide caused a loss of oil, valued at £70, but boiling down operating are still proceeding briskly.
