SILVER AS EXCHANGE.
USE BY AMERICA. A. and N.Z. WASHINGTON, April 10. A Bill has been introduced into Congress permitting the use of bar silver for the settlement of foreign trade balances. Mr. W. G. McAdoo, Secretary to the Treasury, points out that America's European allies want silver in order tq relieve the strain on their gold reserve*. The Bill proposes the convcndon of 250,000,000 silver dollars into ban.
