FEATS OF AMERICAN TROOPS IN GREAT OFFENSIVE.
Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. NEW YORK. April 10. Correspondents report that Americans participated in the recent great offensive. The Germans advanced in waves of 12 men deep, 100 yds apart. The Americans poured a deadly fire into the Germans, mowing down thousands until their rifles were hot and could not be used. The terrific carnage was sickening, but the Americans held the enemy for days, in one sector.
