GRAMMAR SCHOOL OLD BOYS
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Auckland Grammar School Old Roys' Association was held last night at the old Grammar School buildings. Lower Symonds Streol, the president, Mr. R. J. Owynne, preEtd* ing. There were about 20 members pre* sent. In moving the adoption of the annual report and balanco-shect, a summary of which was published in yesterday '• Herald, the president congratulated members upon tho successful year ex* peiienced. The association was now mora in touch than before with the younger boys of iho school. This was fhown by Iho fact that 156 new members had been enrolled in tho period under review. Ho expressed the hope that in view of sh« success of the concert given by the old boys during the year, the headmaster would make such concerts annual fixtures, With reference to what tho association had been able to do for members at the front in the direction of gift parcels, Mr. Gwynne said several letters expressing the recipient's thanks had bden received. Some of these letters would ho embodied shortlj in tho school chronicle. A suggestion that the association should be registered under the Incorporated] Societies Act, was referred to the income ing committeo for consideration. New draft rules were submitted and, after discussion, and amendment, adopted, The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. T. Keeslngj vice-presi-dents, Messrs. H. B. Vaile, J. W. Wiseman, and J. Drummond; lion, secretary and treasurer, Mr. F. T. Eyro; hon. assistant secretary, Mr. H. TurnbulL These officers, and tho following word elected an Executive Committee :—Messrs, R. J. Gwynne, E. T. Nixon, H. Wedding. W. E. Player, Roll, and A. A. Martin auditor, M. D. Gray.
