ANZAC DAY CELEBRATION.

SERVICE AND SMOKE CONCERT. The question of the celebration of Anzac Day in Auckland was discussed yesterday at a conference between the committee, appointed by the- City Council and representatives of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association. The Mayor presided, and there also were present Messrs. W. J. Holdsworth and 0. Baildon, members of the City Council, and Messrs. E, F. Andrews, C. F. Waddintrham and R. Lock. who represented the Returned Soldiers' Association. It was decided that a service be held in the Town Hall on the afternoon of April 25, and that in the evening the City Council shall give a smoke concert to the returned soldiers.
