ABOUT £300 RAISED AT WAIHI. [by telegraph.— CORRESPONDENT. J WAIHI. Wednesday. A " Paddy's Market" was held at Waihi, with the object of raising money for the Salvation Army's Fund for the soldiers. Everything offered was sold, while surprise packets, which had been on sale some days, realised £42. These packets, together with the proceeds from the stalls and guessing competitions, yielded upwards of £i7O, which added to subscriptions collected from business people by tlib Citizens' Committee, will result in close on £300 being handed over to the local representatives of the Salvation Army.
