The totals arc:—South Island, £28,290; North Island, excluding Auckland, £25,900. Details are as follow: Wellington City, £12,750: Wellington military area, £13,150; Dunedin, £8540) Otago and Southland military area, £5100. The North Island anticipates regaining the lead soon by further largo sums from Hawke's Bay and Wairarapa. The national secretary of the Y.M.C.A. received a letter from Mr. Douglas Seymour, general secretary of the New Zealand Returned Soldiers' Association, containing the following" Tho executive has decided to give its very cordial support to your Red Triangle Day efforts, and commends the campaign to the support of all returned soldiers' associations, and all returned soldiers throughout New Zealand.
