VISIT TO WAIKAREMOANA.

♦' LARGE PARTY AT NAPIER. [BY TELEGBAPH.—OWN' CORRESPONDENT.] NAPIER. Wednesday. A laiige and representative number of public men is in Napier to take part in the tour to Lake Waikaremoana, to inspect the site of the proposed power station for the North Island. Included in the number are the city and borough councillors from most of the important towns in the southern part of the North Island, and many members of Parliament, including Messrs. D. Buick, .1. P. Luke, R. A. Wright, E. P. Lee, J. T. M. Hornsby, A. Harris, Sir James Carroll, and Dr. A. K. Newman. The visitors were taken to points of interest around Napier and Hastings to-day, and tJio tour proper will begin early to-morrow morning, when the party will be taken to Wairoa, the starting-place for the lake.
