STOCK FROM CAMBRIDGE.
SPECIAL TRAIN WANTED. [BY telegraph.— correspondent.] CAMBRIDGE. Monday, The Minister for Railways, the Hon. W. H. Merries, spent a few hours here this afternoon. A deputation from the local branch of the Farmers' Union waited upon him and requested that a special stock train ho nut on one night per week to connect at Frankton with the Westfield stock train. The Minister informed the deputation that arrangements were being made for a night stock train, and said that when these were, complete he _ would consider favourably the matter of connecting Cambridge with that train. The Minister also promised a deputation of citizens that he would inquire into a complaint concerning the constant late arrival of the incoming afternoon train.
