SYDNEY DISCLOSURE. SHIPPING EMPLOYEE. ; Australian end N.Z. Cable Association. i (Reed. 9.15 p.m.) SYDNEY, 'Oct. 17. Evidence given at tho inquiry into a recent fire on a steamer lying at Miller's Point indicated incendiarism. When Harold Batten, formerly employed by tho Union Steam Ship Company, appeared in Court charged with forging a seaman's discharge certificate, the police stated that a quantity of gelignite, dynamite, datonators, and fuses and certain correspondence relating to explosions on ships had been found in his possession.
