♦ ■ — LIEUTENANT H.D. BUDDLE. Cablb advice was received yesterday to the '•fleet that Lieutenant H. D. Buddie, youngest son of Mr. Thomas Buddie, and a member of the legal firm of Buddie, Richmond, and Buc'dte, has been slightly wounded, in the skull. Lieutenant Buddie left Auckland with the twenty-second reinforcement, FLIGHT-LIEUTENANT W. H. COATES. Advice has been received thai FlightLieutenant W. ii. Coatee, who was previously reported missing, is now reported believed killed. Lieutenant Coates was brougnt down by ami-aircraft gunare on July 22, and his machine 101 l behind the enemy linos. Lieutenant Coates is a brother of Captain J. G. Coates, M.P.. and is a I member of the firm of G. and R. Coates, I Mmaicohe. He left New Zealand with the I Fifth Mounted Reinforcements, Md saw seij vico on Gallipoli, where he gained his commission. After going through the Egyptian campaign, he was in .December last accepted for training in the Royal Flying Corps. He was later transferred to England, where he was for some time engaged on coastal scout duty. For the past six months he had been in the aviation service in France, Lieutenant Coates was regarded as a highly capable aviator and a gallant pilot. REPORTED WOODED. Captain F. A. Taylor is well . known in Auckland as a prominent cricketer. Aitkon, of Victoria Avenue, Mount Eden. Lieut. Aitken, who is a solicitor, enlisted in January 1919, being then employed by Messrs. Buddie.
