lOSS OP FRENCH VESSEL. 250 PEOPLE MISSING. MEDITERRANEAN TRAGEDY. (Eocd. 1.30 &.m.) 1 Beater. PARIS. Oct. 10. A steamer, carrying 559 passengers, ineluding Algerian soldiers, some prisoners of war, and a crew of 67, was torpedoed in the Western Mediterranean. Two hundred and fifty of the complement aro missing.
