MERCHANT CRUISER SUNK WITH LOSS OF 62 LIVES.
MINE-SWEEPER BELIEVED LOST WITH ALL HANDS. Australian and N.Z. and Router. (Reed. 8 i>.m.) LONDON, Oct. 15 The Admiralty announces that the mine-sweeping sloop Begonia, which is overdue, is considered to have been lost with all hands. The British armed mercantile cruisor Champagne has been torpedoed and sunk. Five officers and 57 men perished.
