PREDICTION FOR RUSSIA.
A. end N.Z. LONDON, Oct. 14. A Moscow paper reports the speech of General Alexiefi, ex-Commander-in-Chief, in which he forecasts Japan's entry into the European theatre of war. The Tokio correspondent of the United Press quotes the military expert of the paper Nichi Nichi as stating that the allies, after the fall of Riga, asked Japan to send an expedition to Europe, but Japan explained that mobilisation was impracticable.
