— ♦ . The quarterly meeting of the North Shore Methodist Church was held under the chairmanship of the Rev. W. J. Elliott. The raejnberjhip was reported at nearly three hundred, and very encouraging reports wore received concerning the Sunday-schools and young people's societies. A large, number of prizes and certificates had been gained by scholars, m the recent Sunday-school Union examinations. The finances were in ft satisfactory state, tho. debt having boon reduced to £6, and £147 raieod for foreiim mssions. It was resolved to increase the stipend of the second minister, A resolution of sympathy was passed with the relatives of Private A. I\oble, who had been Killed in action.
