A FIGHTING FAMILY.

A SON KILLED, TWO WOUNDED. Private Robert Alexander Reid, who is reported to have died of wounds in a French hospital, on October 6, was the second son of Mr. A. S. Reid, of Herbert Street, Mount Eden. He was an old Grammar School boy, and prior to enlisting was engaged, with his two brothers, in farming at Karaka. The three brothers all went or, active service. Lieutenant Alfred S. Reid went with the twenty-second reinforcements. He was wounded on October 5, and now is in hospital. Private L. H. Reid went iway with the fourth reinforcements, and was wounded at Gallipoli. He has since been twice wounded in France, and has been invalided home. The late Private R. A. Reid enisled in the seventeenth reinforcements. The three brothers were all with the same regiment in France at the battle of Messines.
