EXECUTIONS IN BELGIUM.
TORTURE BEFORE DEATH. Times. AMSTERDAM. August 15.
The Germans continue their savage executions "n Belgium daily. Van Wisutergem, a famous athlete who was condemned for espionage, was. dragged, tied by a chain 20yds long, through the streets of Oudenarde, the Guards spitting in his face, to the place of execution, where he was shot. The victim bore his sufferings heroically.
MONTENEGRINS STARVED. A. and N.Z. ZURICH. August 15.
Over 40,000 Montenegrins have died of starvation during the past two years. Montenegrins have deserted Cettigne, the capital, and Austrians have occupied all the houses.
