TAXES REDUCED.
TOBACCO AND AMUSEMENTS. / LONDON, July 3.
In the House of Commons to-day Mr. Bonar Law, Chancellor of the Exchequer, announced reductions in the amusement taxes, and stated that the duty on the lower classes of tobacco had been reduced from Is 8d to lid per lb, with special concession to soldiers and the wounded in England.
