[BT TELEGRAPH—SrECOAL COBKESPONDEXT.] WELLINGTON, Wednesday. A MriißEß of questions on military subjects are to be asked in Parliament. Mr. A. Harris (Wait«nata) is to ask tho Prime Minister whether he will this session amend the Discharged Soldiers Settle, ment Act, 1915, m as to provide that soldiers discharged from camp as medically unfit shall have the same right to ballot for land as soldiers who have seen service overseas. Mr. R. McCallum (Wairau) is to ask the Minister for Defence- whether soma provision could not be made whereby German and Austrian residents in New Zealand should be called upon to make a contribution in proportion to their means for each year during the period of the war.

Mr. W, H. Field (Otaki) is to ask whether the Minister for Defenco will bring down an amendment of the Military Service Act, 1916, to provide for the right of appeal to a Supreme Court Judge from tho decisions of Military Service Boards on questions of law.

Mr. H. J. H. Okey (Taranaki) is to ask the Minister for Defence whether the Military Service Boards should not have some denifite instruction as to the policy they are to carry out with regard to families who hav o sent several sons to the front.

Mr. C J. Parr is to ask whether the Minister for Defence, in the cases of men of the Second Division owning small businesses which in the event of these men being passed by the Medical Board must be realised and closed down at a loss, tho Defence Department can arrange for the medical examination of the.te men before the ballot, so that men in business may be informed of their position as early as possible, J
