THE RACING REDUCTIONS.

[bt telegraph.— ASSOCIATION.]

CHKISTCHURCH. Wednesday. At a meeting of the District Committee of the Canterbury Jockey Club, it was resolved, "That, having strictly adhered to the basis of the agreement arrived at between, the Cabinet and the New Zealand Racing Conference on Juno 8, the committee demurs against the introduction of further conditions, and is strongly averse to reopening the matter. The Canterbury Jockey Club realises that the National is the first large meeting of the incoming year, and, recognising the present conditions, have limited the meeting to two days. They have voluntarily done this to help the Cabiniet and tho conference in coming to a settlement. They, however, in no way agree with the new proposals cf the Minister for Internal Affairs, or recognise his right to dictate what days the club should race on, and still maintain their right to the days unanimously agreed to by the Special District Committee?'
