ENEMY USE REINFORCEMENTS IN STUBBORN ATTACKS
ITALIANS FINALLY COMPLETELY REPULSE ENEMY'S EFFORTS A. and N.Z. and Renter. (Received 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. June 7.
An Italian official report states: We repulsed a heavy attack in the Laibach Valley. The enemy, having been reinforced, delivered violent attacks in the Carso, from Hill 247, southward of Versic, to Hill 31, east of Jamiano. Our positions were strenuously defended. The fighting lasted nearly the whole day, with varying fortunes, until the evening, when the enemy was completely repulsed.

ENEMY CLAIMS 27,000 PRISONERS IN FOUR WEEKS. Australian and N.Z. Cable. (Received 12.10 a.m.) LONDON. Juno 8.
An Austrian official report states: The enemy's massed attacks at Jamiano broke down with heavy losses. We have captured 27,000 prisoners since May 12.
