YESTERDAY'S QUOTATIONS.

The sharemarket was again quiet yesterday. Banks of New Zealand, fully paid, had sellers at £17 10s, -without buyers. New Zealand Insurances were wanted at £16 15s, no sellers quoting. South British had sellers at. £5 2s 6d, with buyers at £5 Is. Auckland Gas sold at 293. For New Zealand Shipping (pref.), £10 7s 6d was offered without response. Union Steams (pref.) were looked for at 21s 3d, and (ord.) at 42s 6d, with sellers of the latter at 43s 6d. In mining lines Waihis had sellers at 37s 6d, with buyers at 37s 3d. Grand Junctions sold at 17s 6d, sellers closing at 17s lOd, and buyers at 17s 4d. Talismans changed hands at 10a, with further buyers at 9s 9d, and sellers at 10s 9d. New Sylvias were done at 6d, and Komata Reefs at 2id.
