BATTLE IN ABYSSINIA
GOVERNMENT VICTORY.
DEPOSED EMPEROR DEFEATED Renter. LONDON. Oct. 30. The Daily Telegraph's correspondent in Abyssinia reports a battle 25 miles from Adis Ababa, capital of Abyssinia, which resulted in a complete victory for the Government. Ras Mikael, father of Lij Yasu, the deposed Emperor, was taken prisoner. Lij Yasu is believed to be among tribes of the Somali on the Abyssinia frontier.
Lij Yasu. who was deposed a few weeks ago in favour of his mother, became the supremo ruler of Abyssinia in 1913. He was born in 1896, and since 1909, owing to the illness of his grandfather, had been virtually ruler under the guidance of regents.
