LANCE-CORPORAL K. F. ABBOT. Lanoe-Corporal Kenneth \ Ferris Abbot, reported died of wounds, is the second son of Mr. and Mrs.. R. T. Abbot, Milton Road, Mount Eden. He and a younger brother were members of the advance party which occupied Samoa. After some months' service there they returned to New Zealand, and went to Egypt with a reinforcement draft. Lance-Corporal Abbot was wounded during the heavy fighting on Gallipoli in last year,.and after some time in hospital in England he rejoined his regiment. 3rd. Prior to enlistment ho' was in the employ of Messrs. Sargood, Son, and Ewen. He was a signaller in the A Battery, and an enthusiast in font - ball and tennis.
