THE ASSOCIATION. GAME.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. A meeting of the Executive Committee of the Auckland Football Association was held at the Sports Club on Tuesday owning. Present: Messrs. D. A. Williams, chairman, Carmichael, J. Halford. R. Harrison, J. Campbell, Gribble, J. Kirk, E. Harvey, X. Philp, and 1«. Warren, ton. secretary. About 30 club delegates were also present. .It was decided that balls for the filth and sixth, divisions be supplied as. usual, and that the hon. secretary communicate with, each club secretary to that effect, enclosing an order on a local firm. It was resolved that the competitions commence on Saturday next. _ Applications for affiliation with the association were made by various clubs. . Tiers are no senior or second grade teams, and the promotion of the lower grades to the third and fourth divisions has considerably reduced the number of teams. The boys of a near military age are conspicuous by their absence, and the lower divisions are being called upon to fill the gap. In the various divisions there are 20 teams registered, a reduction of seven teams, even after omit*i the senior and second grade players.
