SERIES OF ACCIDENTS.
ELDERLY WOMAN INJURED. KNOCKED DOWN BY A TRAM. &V accident occurred at Mount Albert yesterday afternoon, as the result of which Mrs. Bridget Frued, an elderly woman, fustained serious injuries to the right foot, While attempting to avoid the traffic she was knocked down by a tramcar, which passed over her foot. The injured woman was conveyed to the hospital by the police. She arrived in Auckland from Hastings about ten days ago. INJURY TO A SOLDIER. FRACTURE OF THE JAW. A painful accident; befel a member if the Mount Eden guard. Mr. John Hill. while on parade yesterday morning. l«o revived a sunstroke and fell to the ground, breaking his jaw. He was im»ediately conveyed to the hospital, where ho. 15 progressing satisfactorily. Mr. Hill, who is a widower, 37 years of ago, resides at 5, Bradford Street, ParnelL FATAL PALL DOWNSTAIRS. DEATH OF A WIDOW. The death has occurred m the Auckland Hospital of Mrs. Georgma Carrol, as the mult of injuries sustained through falling down a flight of stairs at her residence, at 88. Lome Street, on the evening of Satan-day last. The deceased, who was a widow, was 06 years of age.
