HEARING OF OBJECTIONS.
The Newmarket Assessment Court held a sitting in the Borough Council _ Cham" bers yesterday to consider objections W the valuations made by the value-si Messrs. Stoupe and MargetU. Mr. E. Ci Cutten, S.M., presided. The- valuation* objected to numbered 42. Of this number 15 were reduced. The reductions were as follows :-R. H. Abbott Khybei> FassJ £42 to £40; same, Broadway, £120 tol £115; same, Broadway, £80 to £70; same, Manukau Road, £67 to £63; same, Broad.l way Picture Theatre, £275 to £208; James Kerr. York Street, £37 to £36; Kneenono and Jones, Khvber Pass, £63 to £52i| same, Khvber P&ss, £70 to £52; samel Khyber Pass, £70 to £52; Niels N« block of five cottages, £52 to £50, iW 3 to £60, £52 to £50, £42 to £40, and fip to £50; 11, Wolner, Huutly Avenue, fug to £60.
