DOMINION AWARD WANTED.

Dusedin, Tiu:rsday. The timber workers' conference resolvejj "That the conference expresses the strongest objection to any system of coin, pulsory service until full justice is do:is to soldiers by increased pay, and pensions by right to discharged soldiers and to tho dependants of the killed aid wounded, and adequate taxation is levied upon incomes to cover such expenditure." The question of drafting a schedule of claims for a Dominion award was he'd over till next conference. It was decided that the secretary ask the Arbitration Court to arrange for the expiry of all awards in the industry at tho same time, thus enabling the federation to proceed for a Dominion award at the end of 1917. The executive for the ensuing year will be located in Christchurch. The next conference will bo held in Wellington at Easter of 1917. Tho placing of the deci. sions of the conference before the Minis', try was left to Messrs. Pbelan (Auckland), Hynes (Wellington) and Hunter, secretary.
