TEACHERS' CONFERENCE. The conference of teachers of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Auckland was continued at the Catholic schoolroom, Vermont Street, Ponsonby, yesterday morning. A lengthy discussion 011 the selection of , subject matter for the catechetical lessons to bo given in the schools took place, and ultimately a committee r? appointed to frame a suitable syllabus. In the afternoon the meeting was continued at the Sacred Heart Convent, Remuera, when a demonstration lesson, illustrating the teaching of the French language by modern methods, was given to a class of pupils of about 13 years of age.
