AUCKLAND FARMERS' UNION.
PROVINCIAL CONFERENCE.
Tim monthly meeting of the Auckland Provincial Farmers' Union was held yesterday. There were present:—Messrs. A. A. Ross, chairman, J. S. Montgomerie, P.. T. Duxfield, Major Lusk, and Captain Colbeck.
A letter was received from the Dominion secretary of the union, stating that the Government has" proposed to grant permits for the esport of hides, provided 10 per cent, is held back for sale to the Government at the prices fixed.
It was decided to hold the annual provincial conference on May 24, and on tho two succeeding days. An invitation will be extended to representatives of all recognised trades unions in AucklaiW to attend the conference.
