GOVERNMENT ASSISTANCE.
EQUITABLE AT LEAST.
(Received April 13, .8.5 p.m.) London, April 12. The Prime Minister, Mr. Asquith, informed a deputation of married
men that the Government had resolved in an equitable, if not a generous, spirit, to make pecuniary provision for the liabilities incurred by those who joined the army.
