TREATMENT FOR SICKNESS.

[BT TELEGRAPH. — ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Tuesday. Every man who has been a soldier and has been discharged will in future, in the event of sickness supervening, arising out of a wound .'apposed to have healed, or any other form of illness, be entitled, on application to the Health Department, to receive curative treatment in. exactly the same way as if he were still a soldier, the matter to be administered by officers of the Department throughout the Dominion. The applicant will be examined by the medical officer of the district who acts for the Department, and must promise in writing to subject himself to discipline, the sains as if he were a soldier. The Minister for Health estimates that the Department will be able to handle 2000 men when the rush takes place at the end of the war.
