EARLY COLONIST'S DEATH.
The death occurred, at Wai-iti, near Nelson, last week, at the age of 95, of Mrs. Ann Batt. With her husband she arrived at Nelson in 1842, thus being amongst the pioneer settlers. Deceased leaves four daughters, six sons, 44 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
