GERMANY'S NOTE REGARDING SINKING OF THE SUSSEX.
ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE TRAGEDY DENIED.
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT DELAYS ACTION FOR A WEEK (Received April 12, 12.40 a.m.) London, April 11. A telegram from Washington states that the Government of the United States has received a German Note disclaiming responsibility for the sinking of the Sussex. The United States will not act before April 18. An Austrian submarine torpedoed the Danish steamer Caledonia, of 1815 tons, in the Mediterranean without warning. The crew was picked up.
