WAGES IN LIEU OF NOTICE Judgment for plaintiff, with costs, was given by Mr. E. C. Outten, S.M., in the case in which A. H. riurns (Mr. Lan Simson) sought to recover from J. Jenkin* (Mr. M. McGregor) the sum of £3 10s, wages alleged to be due in lieu of notice. It was stated that no reason was given as to why tho plabtilT was dismissed from defendant's employ. COST OF AN AGREEMENT. A suit to recover the sum of £2 2s, the half-cost of an agreement, was heard beforo Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., yesterday. Tho plaintiff was Maurice . Vaughan Wheeler (Mr. Anderson) and the defendant was Nils Person (Mr. Mowlem). Counsel for defendant said his client had no recollection of having agreed to pay half tho cost of tho preparation A an agreement- by a solicitor. After evidence had been ' card, judgment was given for tho defendant, with cost?. INTEREST ON. LOAN. A somewhat complicated civil action was commenced beforo Mr. C. C. Kettle, S.M., yesterdav. G. A. and E. Wilson (Mi-. A. E. Skelton) claimed from Mrs. M. E. H. Bealo (Mr. R. P. Towle) th? sum of £187 ss, money alleged to bo flue as balance of three auarters' interest on the loan of £6290. Tho third quarter's interest, valued at £80, was'not in dispute. After evidence had boen heard at length, tho case was adjourned until this morning.
